CLIFF NOTES: Kennedy-Shriver kin makes apolitical difference

"Anthony Kennedy Shriver is one busy guy.
The charismatic young philanthropist raced through Houston last week during a whirlwind 36-hour visit with one goal in mind: To help his good friend, Becca Cason Thrash, raise a lot of money for good causes.

Shriver's day started at the Wortham Center, where he was keynote speaker at the annual fall luncheon benefiting Legacy Community Health Services. He told the audience that Thrash had promised an intimate gathering of around 50 people. So he was surprised to find 350 people staring at him when he arrived at the top of the Wortham's long escalator.

'I'm glad I dressed up because I've never met more well-dressed men in one room,' Shriver quipped. "
