Nutritional Counseling

Legacy's licensed and registered dietitians offer counseling and nutrition recommendations to keep your body healthy. Nutritional counseling can help prevent and treat illnesses by promoting healthy eating habits.

Our dietitians educate you about nutritional facts, eating habits, nutrients, allergies and weight loss. We can help you improve your immune system, maintain an optimal weight, and avoid counteractions between the foods you eat and the medicines you take. Dietitians can also help patients with menu planning and dietary supplements.

During your nutritional counseling sessions, our dietitians will perform a thorough assessment and measure your body fat percentage. We then develop dietary recommendations to keep you at your healthiest. Dietary modifications may include reducing salt intake for patients with high blood pressure or managing carbohydrate and sugar intake for people with diabetes.

All services are available on a sliding fee scale based on your annual income.

We also accept Medicaid, Medicare and many health insurance plans.

All nutritional counseling services require a physician’s referral. Additional clinical information may be required depending on the specific type of health coverage.
