‘Health is more than what happens at the doctor’s office’: Legacy Community Health & Partners Kick off Back to School

By: Brianna DAlessio South, Marketing Specialist

This past weekend kicked off the start of Legacy Community Health’s Back to School events across three major campuses.  The back to school drives provide donated backpacks, food, family photo shoots, and haircuts to more than 1,300 students across Houston, Baytown and Beaumont. Lizzette Tienda, Director of Community Relations at Legacy notes, “Our annual back-to-school drive is one of those opportunities where we, along with generous businesses and non-profit groups, go beyond the exam room and meet the overall health and wellness of our young patients and their families.”

Many thanks to the sponsors for their help in making these events happen: General Electric, ExxonMobil, Amerigroup, Community Health Choice, McKesson, My Brother’s Keeper, Visible Changes, Southeast Texas Food Bank, Persona, Vista College, Julia Rogers Gift of Life, Chick-fil-A, and Children’s Museum of Houston.
