David J. Klarberg, MSN, FNP-BC, joined Legacy Community Health Services in December of 2013. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The University of Texas at Austin in 2008, and then went on to receive his Master of Science in Nursing from The University of Pennsylvania in 2011.
Prior to joining Legacy, Klarberg worked as an associate medical director, clinical research sub-investigator, and nurse practitioner at St. Hope Foundation in Bellaire, Texas. While there, he helped facilitate several clinical trials in the area of HIV pharmacotherapeutic research. In late 2012, Klarberg received a specialty certification from the American Academy of HIV Medicine. His current clinical interests include cardiovascular disease risk reduction, metabolic syndrome management, and new HIV prevention and treatment strategies.
Klarberg enjoys urban cycling, and is an avid fan of sushi. He has played electric and bass guitar for over 15 years and has recently taken an interest in music production and recording techniques. He is a lifelong fan of the Star Trek television and film series, and his home office is adorned with memorabilia from the franchise.
Klarberg, N.P., is recognized under the National Committee for Quality Assurance PCMH Recognition Program. NCQA is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to improving health care quality.
