Thank You for Making the 2025 Little Readers Fiesta a Sunday Funday to Remember

On Sunday, May 4, 2025, we celebrated a decade of sparking imaginations through Legacy’s Little Readers—and raised over $242,000 to keep that momentum going.

Presented by H-E-B, chaired by Lisa Helfman, and generously hosted by Paige Fertitta & Family, this joyful evening honored the Barbara Bush Houston Literacy Foundation in recognition of First Lady Barbara Bush’s 100th birthday and enduring legacy of literacy.

Since 2015, Legacy’s Little Readers has gifted nearly 300,000 free books to children at well-child visits—turning waiting rooms into storytimes and homes into libraries.

Together, we celebrated not just 10 years of books but 10 years of brighter futures.
