At Legacy Community Health, we’ve connected our communities to health every day in every way for the past 40 years. We believe health care is a right, not a privilege, and everyone who comes through our doors will receive the treatment they need.

In Texas, one out of every five people has no health insurance. That’s the highest uninsured rate in the nation. Unfortunately, the need is greater right here at home in Houston/Harris County, where one in four people is uninsured. That’s more than one million people in our community. As a Federally Qualified Health Center, Legacy is the medical home for thousands of underserved people in Southeast Texas. In 2022, we provided services to 222,000 individuals. Your investment in Legacy provides important health care services that, in turn, improve the stability and well-being of our entire community.

There are many ways to support Legacy’s programs and services, from events benefiting School Based Health Care and HIV services, to becoming a Legacy’s Little Readers Champion for pediatric literacy. Planned Giving offers a variety of opportunities for more significant contributions to Legacy’s mission.

  • Our new partnership with DonateStock.com provides a free, easy way to extend tax savings of stock contributions.
  • Supporters can raise funds for Legacy when they shop at Kroger. Link your Kroger Plus card at krogercommunityrewards.com.

Your philanthropic support is more valuable than ever as it provides Legacy with the financial flexibility necessary to react to new circumstances as they arise. Please consider a donation to support Legacy’s vision of connecting our community’s health every day in every way.
