A licensed therapist will complete an initial assessment to better understand your mental health concerns and collaborate with you on an appropriate treatment plan. 

Therapy appointments focus on counseling and talk therapy services.

Please note that Legacy does not complete court-ordered evaluations or evaluations specifically for Social Security Disability (SSDI) determinations or custody proceedings. 

If you or your child is experiencing a mental health crisis or emergency, please call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. 

Our support staff may contact you before your appointment to obtain additional information needed to provide care. For pediatric patients, we must confirm who has legal authority to consent for treatment. If there is a custody agreement or legal documentation, please be prepared to provide copies prior to the appointment. Failure to provide required documentation may result in cancellation of the appointment. 

The patient’s parent, legal guardian, or medical decision-maker must be present during the initial appointment for minors. 

Language interpretation services are available during appointments if needed.
