HOUSTON, TX (March 17, 2026) – Legacy Community Health is once again proud to support the annual Lyons Avenue Renaissance Festival, returning Saturday, March 28, 2026, from 12 PM to 5:30 PM, bringing music, food, culture, and community celebration to Houston’s historic Fifth Ward.
Hosted by the Fifth Ward Community Redevelopment Corporation, the festival showcases the neighborhood’s heritage through live entertainment, youth activities, food, art, and vibrant community traditions. Media are invited to capture the color, energy, and spirit of one of Houston’s most historic and culturally rich communities
WHAT:
Lyons Avenue Renaissance Festival 2026
A free, family‑friendly community festival featuring:
- Legacy’s Fifth Ward Lyons Clinic: Located in the heart of the festival, Legacy’s clinic will provide free health screenings, health education, books for families, and on‑the‑spot appointment scheduling.
- Kid Zone: A dedicated space with games, rides, and entertainment for children of all ages.
- Urban Helicopter Egg Drop: A helicopter releases thousands of colorful, goodie‑filled Easter eggs for children to collect.
- Community Parade & Car Procession: Partnering organizations kick off the festival with a lively parade and car lineup.
- 100+ Vendors & Food Trucks: Guests can shop and enjoy Southern cuisine, soul food, Creole dishes, barbecue, and more.
- Live Main Stage Performances: Headliners to be announced soon, plus additional stages featuring blues, hip hop, rock, and gospel music.
- Houston’s Best Food Trucks: A curated mix of BBQ, Creole cuisine, soul food, and sweet treats.
- Unique Vendors & Service Providers: Local artisans, creators, and community organizations lining the streets
