Legacy Community Health Expands Access in Beaumont with $250K ExxonMobil Investment
New funding supports literacy, hygiene, screenings, and pharmacy access in Charlton‑Pollard and South Park
BEAUMONT, TX (May 19, 2026) – In Beaumont’s Charlton‑Pollard and South Park neighborhoods, improving health outcomes starts with more than a doctor’s visit. It begins with access: access to basic resources, education, and support that meet families where they are every day. With a new $250,000 investment from ExxonMobil, Legacy Community Health is expanding that access and bringing critical health and wellness programs directly into the community.
“On behalf of Legacy Community Health, we are incredibly grateful to ExxonMobil for this investment in the communities we serve,” said Robert Palussek, CEO of Legacy Community Health. “One in three of our patients live in Charlton-Pollard and South Park, and this support allows us to deepen our presence in these neighborhoods, expand access to care, and deliver the resources families need to stay healthy.”
Legacy Community Health values ExxonMobil’s continued partnership and investment. This support reflects a shared commitment to improving access to care and addressing the everyday barriers that affect health outcomes for families across Beaumont.
This investment builds on Legacy’s long-standing commitment to serving Southeast Texas communities by removing barriers, expanding access, and delivering care and support closer to home. It strengthens programs that address both immediate health needs and the underlying factors that shape long-term outcomes.
Expanding Community-Based Health and Support
With this investment, Legacy will expand outreach and bring services directly into the community through local events, workshops, and targeted health initiatives. Efforts will include:
- Health screenings and preventive care
- Community education and workshops
- Hygiene resources for families and students
- School-based support through partnerships with Beaumont ISD, including Charlton‑Pollard Elementary and Pietzsch MacArthur School
These programs extend into classrooms and community spaces, helping ensure students and families have the support they need—both in and out of school.
As part of this expansion, Legacy will grow its Little Readers program, bringing books into clinics and neighborhoods while creating literacy corners that encourage early learning. Because literacy and health outcomes are closely connected, these efforts support stronger, healthier families over time.
Improving Access to Medications and Pharmacy Services
Access to medications remains a challenge in many communities. This investment will help Legacy expand pharmacy access and connect patients to:
- Affordable medications
- Pharmacy education and support
- Free home delivery services
Together, these efforts make it easier for patients not only to access care—but to follow through with the treatment they need.
Through its partnership with ExxonMobil, Legacy is strengthening its ability to deliver community-centered care that supports individuals and families every day—not just in the clinic, but across the full context of their lives.
