Chree Boydstun to Join Texas Women’s Hall of Fame for Transforming Health Care Access

HOUSTON, TX (December 4, 2025) – Chree Boydstun, whose leadership has helped raise more than $350 million and expand Legacy Community Health from three clinics to more than 60 locations, will be inducted into the Texas Women’s Hall of Fame by the Greater Houston Women’s Chamber of Commerce. Boydstun is the chief development and external affairs officer at Legacy. The honor recognizes women whose leadership and service have advanced opportunities for women and girls across Texas.

Boydstun’s impact on health care access is profound. At Legacy, she spearheaded expansions in OB/GYN and maternal health services. She secured a record-setting $50 million gift from Houston Methodist to fund major clinics in Pasadena and Acres Homes—bringing care closer to thousands of families who previously had few options.

Her commitment extends beyond Houston. Through hands-on service projects in South America and South Africa, Boydstun has built latrines, administered vaccines, and planted gardens to improve the health and daily lives of women and families in underserved communities.

“Chree’s leadership has helped transform health care access for thousands of families,” said Robert Palussek, chief executive officer of Legacy Community Health. “Her induction into the Texas Women’s Hall of Fame reflects her decades-long commitment to empowering women and strengthening communities.”

Boydstun will be honored at the Texas Women’s Hall of Fame Gala on Friday, Dec. 5, at the Royal Sonesta Hotel. The reception begins at 6 p.m. The gala benefits programs, including Women On Board Institute, LOVE WHAT YOU DO, SBA Women’s Business Center, and STEAM Town USA, which serve and empower women and girls.

Since joining Legacy in 2007, Boydstun has shaped the organization’s development strategy, strengthened donor and community partnerships, and built a high-performing team that supports Legacy’s mission to expand access to quality care. She has mentored dozens of women fundraising professionals, helping them advance into leadership roles.

Her achievements have been recognized with awards, including the Woman of Distinction from the Chron’s and the Colitis Foundation, the Tickled Pink Honoree from the American Cancer Society, the Women Who Mean Business from the Houston Business Journal, and the Woman of Substance from reVision Houston. She is an alumna of the American Leadership Forum and a lifetime member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Wine Sales Committee. Most recently, Boydstun served as co-chair of the American Cancer Society’s Men Wear Pink Campaign, where she helped raise over $1 million to help advance breast cancer research.  She has continued to devote many years volunteering with the Texas Bluebonnet Girls State, where she served as a Citizen in 1983.

“Receiving this award is a profound honor and a reminder that facing challenges head-on in service to our communities brings immense rewards,” Boydstun said. “I’m incredibly grateful to my dedicated team. They inspire me every day, and when you’re passionate about your work, it truly doesn’t feel like work at all.”

This recognition underscores Boydstun’s decades of impact—expanding health care access, championing women’s leadership, and strengthening communities locally and globally. Her work continues to shape a future where quality care and opportunity are within reach for every family.
