HOUSTON, TX (March 18, 2026) – March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month, and Legacy Community Health is inviting the community to learn about colorectal cancer screening and prevention at a series of free events across its clinic locations. Colorectal cancer is the second deadliest cancer in the United States, yet early detection could prevent more than 60% of deaths each year. Screening remains one of the most effective tools for prevention, with a 90% survival rate when the disease is caught early.
Attendees can learn about risk factors, recommended screening ages, and no‑cost testing options available through Legacy, including free at‑home screening kits for eligible patients. These non‑invasive tests make it easier for more people to get screened from home.
