Melinda Hu, PharmD, serves as Legacy Community Health’s Manager of Specialty Pharmacy & Medication Therapy Management Services. Melinda brings over 15 years of experience in various settings of pharmacy, including acute care, infusion clinics, inpatient rehabilitation, retail, and specialty pharmacy. In her current role, she oversees the Utilization Review Accreditation Commission, or URAC, accreditation for specialty pharmacy, implements clinical initiatives to improve medication adherence and 340b compliance, and strengthens quality measures and financial results.

Melinda came from an economically disadvantaged family and always wanted to do more for the underserved population. When the opportunity was presented to join Legacy in 2023, she accepted and became part of a dynamic team to advocate for the most vulnerable patients needing our services.

Melinda started her prerequisites at Lamar University until she transferred to Texas Southern University to complete the courses. She earned her Doctor of Pharmacy from Texas Southern University in Houston, Texas.

In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, reading books, trying new foods, and spending time with her husband and two children.
