Legacy Community Health Director of Pharmacy Operations recognized among Houston’s emerging leaders

HOUSTON, TX (June 29, 2026) – Kevin Aloysius, director of pharmacy operations at Legacy Community Health, has been named to the Houston Business Journal’s (HBJ) 2026 40 Under 40 class. The award recognizes emerging business leaders in Houston under the age of 40 for their professional achievements, leadership and community impact.

Through resilience, mentorship and a strong work ethic, Aloysius has built a career at Legacy Community Health marked by growth and impact. Since joining Legacy as a staff pharmacist in 2017, he has advanced to director of pharmacy operations, leading by example and developing systems that empower his team and support high-quality patient care across the organization.

When he joined Legacy Community Health as a staff pharmacist, the organization’s pharmacy footprint was limited. Through steady career advancement, Aloysius has overseen a multi-site expansion that now supports the delivery of thousands of prescriptions each month, helping ensure patients across Houston have consistent, affordable access to essential medications.

“Throughout his career, Kevin has consistently bridged clinical care, operational strategy, and high-quality patient outcomes,” said La Vonia Cannon, Senior Vice President of Pharmacy & Financial Support at Legacy Community Health. “He brings a deep understanding that access to care is foundational, and that commitment is reflected in the meaningful impact he continues to make at Legacy.”

For nearly a decade, Aloysius has been engaged in community service through his work with the Houston Ryan White Planning Council, where he previously served as a council member and now contributes as an affiliate member. In these roles, he has helped identify service gaps, strengthen care coordination and improve access to HIV prevention and treatment services across the Houston region.

Aloysius volunteers at community health fairs, providing screenings, medication counseling and health education to underserved populations. He also mentors pharmacy students through the University of Houston and Legacy Community Health’s internship programs.

Many of Legacy Community Health’s most impactful initiatives began as ideas that required coordination across multiple departments, and Aloysius brings those teams together. He also led Legacy Pharmacy’s participation in the Transforming Together Through Trauma-Informed Care initiative, including coordinating a site visit from the Elton John AIDS Foundation to highlight the team’s patient-centered approach.

Aloysius will be recognized at the Houston Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 awards ceremony on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at Bayou Music Center. This event honors emerging business leaders under the age of 40 for their philanthropic efforts, professional achievements and volunteerism.

“I am truly appreciative to have received this recognition. This award reflects my belief that leadership is defined by influence, service, and the development of people,” said Aloysius. “My career is defined not only by what I have achieved, but by the enduring access and opportunities I work to create for others.”
