School-Based Health Care

To learn well, you must be well. Legacy School-Based Health Care makes it easier than ever before to access high quality, affordable health care for your child with both in-person and video visits at KIPP, YES Prep and Galena Park ISD schools! Our School-Based Health Care clinics are conveniently located inside the school, providing a variety of pediatric and behavioral health services for students and their siblings. If your child becomes sick or simply needs a checkup, our team of qualified medical professionals can provide health care services during regular school hours.

Do you accept insurance?

Legacy accepts most HMO/PPOs, Medicare and the following CHIP and Medicaid plans: Amerigroup, Community Health Choice, Molina Health Care, Superior Health Care, Texas Children’s Health Plan and United Healthcare.

Can you see my child if we don’t have insurance?

Yes! Our Eligibility Specialists are available to discuss sliding scale fees and potential programs to help reduce the cost of services. No child is ever turned away due to inability to pay.

How do we schedule an appointment?

To schedule appointments for check-ups, health concerns, or for any illness that may arise, you can call us at (281) 628 2050 or you may just simply stop by our clinic on-campus to talk to us directly.

What if we already have a pediatrician?

Great! We will work with your current pediatrician by providing visit records with your written consent.

Can therapy sessions include other family member?

Yes! Therapy sessions are offered individually or as a family. Your therapist will help you decide what is best for your child.

Where is Legacy School-Based Health located?

There are currently 37 School-Based Health locations in three different districts: KIPP, YES Prep and Galena Park ISD. Students and siblings that attend any of those three districts can sign up for services and schedule appointments at a nearby school clinic within their district.
