S.H.E. Ready Presents: Our Voices on Black Love

Black women residing in the Greater Houston Area face historic social and cultural barriers that affect their access to empowering healthcare resources and education. Dedicated to making a lasting impact on the lives of Black women, the Sexual Health Empowerment and Readiness Project for Black Women (S.H.E. Ready) aims to address the sexual health disparities and high HIV/STI rates affecting Black Women through community health education and culturally tailored marketing. Black Love is Black History!

During a visit to S.H.E. Ready’s home clinic, Legacy’s Fifth Ward Clinic, we asked a few women there, “What does Black Love mean to you?” — and recorded their heartfelt responses. If you are interested in learning more about S.H.E. Ready or want to get involved, contact Sarah Nganga at SNganga@legacycommunityhealth.org.
