Legacy Patient Worried about Zika Virus

NBC News flew down to Houston last week for a series on Zika, the mosquito-borne virus that can cause severe birth defects. The crew spoke to one of our pregnant patients, Victoria Eljach, who has postponed trips – per her doctor’s orders – to Latin American countries. Legacy Community Health echoes the Center for Disease Control’s travel warning for pregnant moms not to travel to the more than 40 Central and South American countries where Zika virus has exploded.
