Legacy Pharmacy Montrose is now open

Today, Legacy Community Health opened its new, state-of-the-art pharmacy at its flagship Montrose location. The new pharmacy is open to Legacy patients and the public.

Using the latest technology, Legacy Pharmacy offers a full range of services, including:

• Filling prescriptions
• Prescription delivery
• One-on-one medication counseling
• Smoking cessation
• Health coaching
• Immunizations

Legacy Pharmacy accepts most private insurance plans and Medicare Part D plans.

“We are excited about owning and operating pharmacies in Houston,” said Karen Gurwitch, vice president of Pharmacy Operations at Legacy Community Health. “It allows us to embed trained pharmacists into our existing team-based care model, while providing the communities we serve with personalized health services and shorter wait times.”

Legacy Pharmacy in Fifth Ward opened earlier this month. The new pharmacies are part of the health center’s commitment to bring comprehensive health care services to all of our neighbors.
