Discover S.H.E. Ready Empowering Black Women’s Sexual Health

In honor of Sexual Health Awareness Month, join us as we shed light on a pressing concern. In 2021, black women experienced new HIV diagnoses at rates five times higher than Hispanic women and ten times higher than white women. In collaboration with the Texas Black Women’s Initiative (TxBWI), Legacy Community Health has developed the Sexual Health Awareness Empowerment and Readiness Project for Black Women (S.H.E. Ready). Although HIV stigma and misconceptions persist in our world today, S.H.E. Ready offers a safe space to educate black women in our community. We invite you to watch as Sarah Nganga, Legacy’s Health Navigation Specialist for PreP/HIV Prevention, breaks down S.H.E. Ready’s mission for a healthier future. For more information on how to get involved with S.H.E. Ready, contact Sarah Nganga at SNganga@legacycommunityhealth.org.
